    Your application and pregnancy records help the review team understand your history. Medical clearance is a separate clinical decision.

    Meet. Then decide.

    When an introduction is approved, meet the intended parents and share your decision privately. Moving forward takes interest from both sides.

BEFORE YOU APPLY

A previous birth comes first.

At least one previous live birth is required to apply as a surrogate with Cove. If you have had no live births, you cannot begin a surrogate application.

Gestational surrogacy involves carrying a pregnancy using an embryo created with someone else’s egg. Your own pregnancy history is an important part of the review.

  • Your pregnancy and delivery records will need review.
  • You need time for appointments, screening, and a pregnancy.
  • Your health history, recovery, living situation, and support will also be considered.

Having a live birth is necessary, but does not guarantee approval. Clinics review the full history, including whether prior pregnancies were full-term and uncomplicated, and apply their own screening requirements. Read ASRM’s guidance.
